“Blossom with Joy”

I have a deep admiration for those that display joyfulness in every season of life.
This fruit of the Spirit stems from being a branch that abides in Christ. My passion and prayer is that each thoughtful product would be an instrument in encouraging one to grow, blossom, and bear fruit for His honour and glory.

By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit John 15:8

The artist behind blossom with joy co.

Hello, my name is Andrea

I was born into a family where there was much love for detail, creativity, and art. My mother loves sketching and painting, and my Opa has spent countless hours with a brush and oil paint. As a child I remember colouring and playing around with shading and often becoming enthralled when the shadows would begin making the art look more realistic. Throughout my teenage years I had a growing collection of tombow markers in all my favourite colours, and that’s what introduced me to watercolour. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of learning to paint different flowers, plants, landscapes, and animals. I discovered my mom had watercolour paint in her art chest, and I began frequently borrowing it until I invested in my own palette. I loved how relaxing the nature of painting is, and if I had some free time you’d likely find me painting. As time went on I was encouraged to start doing something more with my artwork. The beginning of 2020 began months of continual intense headaches and lung issues which mainly left me in a state of exhaustion and pain. Knowing that the joy of the Lord is my strength, my prayer was to continue on joyfully for the Lord no matter how hard my day was. (This was one of the reasons for the name “Blossom with Joy.”)  My hearts desire is to share art in a way that others would be pointed to Christ and encouraged to bloom with joyfulness in the Creator. In the autumn season of 2020 I opened an Etsy shop for Blossom with Joy! I was teaching at the time and creating pieces of art was a little side hobby for me. In the summer of 2021 I got married to my favourite man! He’s been a great encourager and supporter, and I’m so grateful to have Simon by my side. I don’t particularly enjoy going outside of my comfort zone, but he helps me do it. For Christmas he gifted me a Windsor and Newton set of oil paints and brushes. I was excited and slightly terrified to try it, but he cheered me on and now oil painting has become one of my favourite mediums to work with!
In this season of life many hours of my day are spent creating custom artwork for others, and designing new products for the shop. I love what the Lord has given me to do and I’m so humbled by each person who takes the time to support this little shop! From the bottom of my heart, thanks for being here! 🤍
